James Flanigan graduated from St. Francis College located in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1996 with both Bachelors and Associates Degrees. During his college years, he worked with local and state lawmakers in reviewing and implementing motor carrier safety regulations for New York.
Since June of 1996, he has been involved in law enforcement, working for and alongside numerous local, state and federal agencies. In late 1996, James was certified as a Motor Carrier Inspector under the NYS Department of Transportation, and then in 1999 with the U.S. Department of Transportation with additional certifications earned in Hazardous Materials Compliance, Motor Coach Compliance and Post Crash Investigation.
Agencies that he has worked alongside include: NYPD, New York State Police, New York Department of Transportation, New Jersey State Police, and the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. He also worked on the Federal level with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Agency, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, Secret Service and the Department of State on numerous joint ventures.
