Course Title: NJ Licensed Tree Expert Update

Course Description:
NJ's voluntary Certified Tree Expert has been legislatively changed to NJ's Licensed Tree Expert, but has yet to be implemented due to the lack of rules and regs. As these are being worked on now, the presentation will focus on the standards as currently outlined in the legislation.

Jason's Bio
Jim (or Dr. Murphy, whichever you prefer) is the Extension Specialist in Turfgrass Management at Rutgers University in New Jersey, since 1991.Dr. Jason Grabosky is very well respected and requested speaker on the topic of urban forestry and ‘Structured Soils’. In fact, he is the primary inventor on a US patent for a modified soil that enhances root growth in urban environments. Presently conducting research in several states, his humorous yet very informative talks cradle the issues surrounding urban tree ‘architecture’ and the interaction these urban trees with the environment.
